Pharmacy Practice And Patient Care Settings

Pharmacy Practice Settings

Patient care, drug information, management, and teaching opportunities are available at Memorial Hospital in a wide variety of acute and ambulatory care environments. The Department of Pharmacy provides clinical and distributive services to the acute care facility as well as to an ambulatory oncology center, long-term care facility, hospice program, and ambulatory infusion center. During development of an individualized residency calendar and plan, residents select four- or six-week core and elective clinical rotations, two-week mini-rotations, and longitudinal experiences from a
variety of patient care sites. Drug information, practice management, department staffing, leadership and safety, the residency project, and an optional teaching certificate program are longitudinal learning experiences which occur throughout the residency year.
